Grant's Exam Prep Seminars have begun. Calculus on Sunday, Feb. 10.
Published: Thu, 02/07/13
My exam prep seminars are underway. I am offering seminars in Statistics, Calculus, and Linear Algebra in the next couple of weeks.
Please click this link for more information about each seminar and to register (if you have not done so already) if you are interested:
All seminars are in room 100 St. Paul's College on the UM campus.
You pay at the door. Cash or cheque payable to "Grant's Tutoring."
A new thing I am introducing this year for Stat 1000 and Calculus seminars is that they will now be two-day affairs, running from 9:00 pm to 6:00 pm each day. There will be different topics discussed each day, so you must attend both days if you want to see everything. I find that there is just so much content to cover these days that it is too exhausting and rushed to try to cover everything in one day. Each day will cost $40 (a student can choose to attend only one of the two days if they wish), or, if you do attend both days, the second day will be half-price (which is to say, you will pay $40 for one day, or $60 for both days).
My Stat 2000 and Math 1300 seminars will continue to be one-day seminars from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm for $40.
Please note that the Midterm Break runs from Saturday, Feb. 16 to Sunday, Feb. 24 and, unfortunately, some of my seminars are occurring during this break. I hope it doesn't interfere with your plans.
I would appreciate your comments (pro and con) about the new idea I have for my statistics and calculus seminars, and about the dates I have chosen for any seminar you hope to attend.
If you are taking Math 1300, I must warn you that I am considering no longer offering a seminar in that course because the classroom course is now too different from the distance course to be able to service both sections (my seminar will follow the outline of the classroom sections), which may negatively affect the demand. Please let me know if you are interested in attending the Math 1300 seminar at the date I have chosen below.
Here are the dates for the seminars:
