I am stunned to discover that they have removed The Poisson Distribution from the course syllabus for Stat 2000. Believe me, there is a lot of redesign this course needs (together with Stat 1000) so that the two courses don't keep going over the same ground (as those of you studying my Probability lesson have no
doubt discovered), but why, instead of removing something already done in Stat 1000, do they remove something that is unique to this course? Anyways, that boils down to this:
OMIT The Poisson Distribution section of Lesson 7 in my book. So, omit from page 465 to the end of Lesson 7.
