Assignment 4 for the distance Math 1300 sections is insanely complicated, in my opinion, and I cannot believe that the exam would be asking similar questions.  This is the first time ever that those units are being covered in distance, and I think they have just chosen to ask very complicated questions because "that's what they often do on distance assignments."

I am confident that, as long as you can do the questions I discuss in my Lessons 15 and 16, you should feel ready for those topics on the final.  Note that you can use the book of old midterm and final exams available in the Book Store for additional practice.  Only finals since 2012 are worth looking at, since they reflect the current syllabus.

Also, if you are in distance, I would appreciate it if you could send me a copy of any practice exams they may have posted in UM Learn, as they, too, should be different than they have given in the past, since the syllabus has changed.
